Who'd have thought that the lightbulb needed all that much improvement? Well, I guess with folks improving everything else, the lightbulb must be due.

One hundred times more efficient than the simple incandescent light bulb? This is a fantastic innovation. Energy conservation, especially in this juncture in time, should not scoffed. More people should seriously consider "messing with" things in which a significant innovation will point toward a more sustainable existence for humankind.
